COMBINED MODULAR MANUAL
A new method to optimise the time and costs of manuals produced in-house
The large number of manuals we have prepared over the years has led us to organise and structure a new product, which is more versatile and faster to prepare: the COMBINED MODULAR MANUAL.
We have realised that certain sections of the Manual can be structured in such a way that they can be reused in their entirety and simply added to the other manuals of the production range.
For example, the section concerning the method of machinery transport (e.g.: information about the wooden box/pallet, the method of lifting the case, storage, etc..) can be inserted in a unique “module” that is perfect for reuse with other machinery models.
The information of interest to the operator, the regular maintenance technician, the extraordinary maintenance technician, etc. duties, the Personal Protective Equipment to be adopted, can be inserted in a unique “module”.
In this way, the manual consists largely of:
- UNIVERSAL modules (applicable to all production machines)
- CUSTOMISED modules (i.e. specific chapters that describe the machinery in question: technical characteristics, start-up procedures, adjustments, specific maintenance, etc..).
It is clear that the benefits of the combined modular manuals include the following aspects:
- Shorter time for the production of manuals and consequently much lower costs than the standard method.
- Simplicity and structure in the production of the manual.
- Reducing translation costs by reusing UNIVERSAL modules.
